Do you have old family albums? What are your favourite photos to look back on? Believe me, the Sears photos are hilariously PRICELESS, but my absolute favs are the ones where we are in the living room and you can see those leopard print curtains and the plaid couch, the cringe-worthy unsafe carseat you’re strapped into, the vintage toys…how you remember your family and home growing up. Don’t these photos bring back MEMORIES of your childhood?
CHRISTMAS TREE FARM | Documentary Style Family Mini Sessions
Tis the season for mini sessions! I adore these little seasonal, tradition sessions that give just a little snippet of your family life…next stop, a full “Day in the Life” session for you though, amiright!?
For these 40 minute sessions, we are heading to Allouette Tree Farm in Maple Ridge. The ultimate goal is for you to actually buy your Christmas tree DURING our session! I want to capture the hunt, the kid wrangling, the cutting of the tree, loading the car, and all the crazy that goes along with these outings. There is even hot apple cider and a fire to relax beside if you need to warm up and snuggle by the fire for a bit. Don’t need a full tree or have an artificial tree? Just let the kids hunt the farm for a tiny one for them to decorate at home, and maybe pick up a handmade wreath for your front door! They smell ah-mazing.

An Adoption Story | Fraser Valley Photographer and Filmmaker
Have you ever wondered what it would be like to adopt a baby? Rob and Sarah so graciously invited me to film their adoption journey, and it was absolutely incredible. Ethel just turned ONE. So I thought it was fitting to finally blog their story! YES they have a pet pig who lives in their house, and YES she is breastfeeding…
Family Love | Vancouver Photographer and Filmmaker
In 2017, another local photographer referred one of his past wedding clients on to me for newborn photos. I absolutely love getting new clients via referral, there’s just something special about it. Fast forward to this year, when they contacted me for family photos as well! Just ask any photographer, repeat clients are THE BEST. You already have a wonderful connection and you always get right down to the…
A Peace Arch Hospital Birth | Fraser Valley Birth Photographer and Videographer
Remember this maternity session? Well she had her baby a few weeks later, and it was such a beautiful hospital birth. Sometimes plans have to change quickly, and it’s so important to have an idea of your preferences, but still be informed and educated about all of your options and any choices that may be presented to you during your birth at any moment. This family had a wonderful backup plan and brought the most incredible…
A Raw and Beautiful Postpartum | Fraser Valley Photographer and Filmmaker
Chelsea is a photographer who lives in Chilliwack, BC. I have followed her on Instagram for quite a while now and I was so excited to be invited into this incredible space post-birth. Their baby was born the day before, her second unassisted home birth (because nobody can ever make it to her house in time) with her midwives and…
Quinnly's First Birthday
Danielle is a repeat client, I got to do Quinnly’s newborn photos last year. Their family really wanted some documentary type images to capture a special event in their family this year, because children literally grow like weeds. We decided on her youngest daughter’s first birthday! We were lucky enough to be able to do their session ON the exact day that Quinnly turned one…
Disneyland Vacation | Photographing the Photographer | A Documentary Session
We did our first family trip to Disneyland in 2016. A few weeks before we left, I saw an image someone had taken at Disneyland, and knew that I needed to hire a documentary photographer for our next trip, whenever that was. I wanted to enjoy the day with my kids, not worrying about taking photos myself, and I wanted to be present, I wanted to be IN the photos for once…
