What will your Newborn Session be like?

So what is a newborn session with me REALLY like?

Let’s be real. USUALLY when I arrive, it is pure chaos, and everyone is still madly running around getting ready. When I walk in your door, I unpack my gear, and spend a few minutes chatting with any siblings and letting them warm up to me, I find the children prefer a bit of an introduction rather than a camera in their face from the first moment they meet me. Some families also choose to add a short video on to their session, and I LOVE being able to do both!

Since my newborn family sessions are only about 2 hours long, some families who prefer the documentary approach have some activities planned, such as bath time, going for a walk, making a meal or coffee together, even the usual diapering and feeds are super sweet! If I feel like a family needs a bit of direction, I don’t hesitate to give some suggestions of places to go within the home, or things to do, to keep things rolling.

Once I arrive home, I upload your images and always keep a backup either online or on my person, just in case anything ever was to happen to my hard drive. My turn around time is generally 2 weeks from your session date.

Let’s be honest…toddlers are a lot more entertaining than newborns (and they’re usually equally as adorable), so they often steal a ton of my attention.
