My completed year of photos (almost) every day!
It’s not perfect. I missed some days, and some days had multiples. Not every image is my best or favourite work, but every image is a memory. I am not a writer, I am terrible at writing down memories and little things the kids say, but this, this I can do.
This 366 project was the first major personal photography project I took on and I am incredibly grateful I decided to do this. It was a gift I wanted to give my family, to be able to look back on life as we know it right now. These years where my children are young are so short, but the days seem to go on forever, and I wanted to be able to remember the little things, even the days where I felt uninspired. It has helped me grow so much as an artist, and a mother. It’s something I will treasure forever.
I’m working on my photo book and ordering prints from this year so we can have them displayed in our home.
I am doing another project (or two) this year, but this time monthly!
Take photos of your family, even if it’s not every day, even if it’s not part of a project, then PRINT the photos! It’s SO worth it.
